Updated: May 15, 2019

TMI #GivingTuesday

Please give on November 28! On this global day of giving Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are MATCHING up to $2 million of funds raised on Facebook for U.S. nonprofits including Toward Maximum Independence (TMI). Facebook is also waiving all fees for donations made to nonprofits on Facebook this#GivingTuesday. TMI is raising money for our Julie Casey Scholarship Fund which goes directly toward assisting our clients with developmental disabilities such as autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy. In Community Living Services, grants have helped individuals move from group homes to their own apartments, buy essential items for the transition to independence or even purchase a baby crib. In Employment Solutions, the fund has helped our clients purchase clothes for job hunting, bus passes, alarm clocks or other items necessary for employment. In Family Support Services, the fund has been used to send children to summer camp, assist with medication cost, purchase clothing at the beginning of placement and much more. You can set up your own personal Facebook fundraiser to help TMI raise funds. Up to $1,000 will be matched for each fundraiser set up to donate to TMI. Creating a TMI Facebook fundraiser is easy and you can set it up anytime! Then be ready to share it on Facebook on November 28. You can also donate to TMI's #GivingTuesday fundraiser on November 28 by clicking HERE to help us meet our goal of $1,000 to be matched. Only donations made on #GivingTuesday will be matched starting at 5:00 am PST. Please ask your friends and families on Facebook to give early in the day, as the $2 million total matching cap may be reached quickly. Let's make this a historic day of giving for TMI.
