Alice Campbell

ALICE CAMPBELL

Chair

Alice joined Barney & Barney in 2008 as a Principal in the Employee Benefits department. She began her career in Employee Benefits in 1981 as the Benefits Manager for a healthcare organization and has been increasing her knowledge and experience within the benefits sector ever since. Alice has worked to administrate benefits within large companies, service large accounts for a provider, and has earned a reputation as an exceptional independent broker. Donaven Yousif

DONAVEN YOUSIF

Vice Chair

Donaven is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in La Mesa. He is a San Diego native and a graduate from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's degree in Management. He has been in the financial industry since 2010. His experience allows him to directly impact many lives by helping them achieve their life long financial goals. Donaven is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with his family. He believes that it is his duty to help and to serve those who need it the most. Donaven is honored to serve TMI and their clients to help them achieve their goals and needs.

Bryan Shull

BRYAN SHULL

Treasurer

Bryan has been in the banking industry since 2004. He is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Bryan lives in Rancho San Diego with his wife, Meghan, and their two children. With TMI’s Board of Directors since 2013, Bryan is actively involved with the agency’s Finance Committee. It gives him great happiness to have the opportunity to help TMI transform the lives of our clients.

Cathy Bishop

A retired Northrop Grumman Project Manager, Cathy has served on TMI's Board since 2007. She is married with two daughters. Her daughter Jenny has Down syndrome and participated in TMI’s Supported Employment program for more than ten years. Cathy served two terms as Board Chair. She views her Board service as an opportunity to give back to an organization that provided Jenny with many years of independence in the workplace; a JOY in Jenny’s life!

Jenna Plante

Staff Representative

With TMI since 2009, Jenna has more than 20 years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities in different aspects of their lives. She started in Supported Employment and ultimately worked in Independent Living and Supported Living at a different agency for several years prior to finding her true passion with TMI Community Living Services. She loves being able to connect with our clients in their homes and helping them to achieve their goals. Jenna feels that at TMI she is surrounded by amazing staff who are dedicated to making sure our clients can live their dreams and be successful. She believes that our direct staff are the ones who make it all possible. They inspire and motivate her daily. In Jenna's spare time, she enjoys reading, soap making, baking, camping, bike riding, and anything outdoors with her wife, friends, and family. Elected by her peers, Jenna is honored to be the TMI Board Staff Representative.

Client Representative

A client with TMI for more than five years, Maurice likes how our programs are caring and supportive to our clients and their needs. He is honored to be the Board Client Representative and appreciates that he is a part of a diverse group whose goal is to help people with different abilities such as himself.

Minnie Courtington

MINNIE COURINGTON

Minnie has worked successfully in the field of education since 2003 as a middle school special education teacher. Her passion for working with this population led to the development of a Career Day Program to educate and expand career opportunities. She is resourceful in her own home working with her daughter Mynigh who is autistic. Minnie works with diverse groups as Senior Pastor of a local church. She is also President of American College Theological Seminary Bible College in the Inland Empire. As a member of the TMI Board, she is excited to work with the Ethics and Policy Committees to bring her expertise in working with varied populations.

Norman Faleono

NORMAN FALEONO

Norman began working with TMI in the 1990s as a Job Coach in the Employment Solutions department. In 2001, he and his wife decided to expand their family and together became involved with TMI’s Resource Family program where they became a loving foster family. Norman joined TMI’s Board of Directors in 2014 and brings with him a well-rounded knowledge of TMI and many years of hands-on experience with Family Support Services. He is currently serving as the Board Treasurer.

Jocelyn Gonzalez

JOCELYN GONZALEZ

Jocelyn has worked in finance for more than 20 years and is currently the VP of Finance & Accounting for the Americas at WD-40 Company. Prior to her current position, Jocelyn held various roles in finance and was the Principal Consultant with her firm Decisions In Context. She received a Master’s degree in Finance from Bentley University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University. Jocelyn joined TMI’s Board of Directors in 2013 and served multiple terms as Treasurer. Jocelyn is passionate about fiscal matters impacting TMI and its employees and clients, and is actively involved with the organization’s Finance, Investment and 401(k) Committees.

Michele Mamerto

MICHELE MAMERTO

Michelle worked in the financial services industry for more than 20 years and is currently working in real estate. After attending a tour of the TMI San Diego office and learning the many ways TMI serves people with developmental disabilities, she was in awe of the TMI programs, as well as the passion and pride of the employees. In early 2013, she joined TMI as a Board Member and has felt blessed to watch the organization transform…always looking for ways to better serve their clients and to raise awareness that individuals with developmental disabilities have dreams just like everyone else.

Heather Martin

HEATHER MARTIN

Member

Heather Martin was born and raised in San Diego, CA.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Riverside. After college she worked at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks in Glendale, CA where she was introduced to the field of grief counseling.  Heather returned to San Diego and completed her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University. She began working in the mental health field as an intern at an alternative school for at risk youth.  Heather also interned at a crisis house for two years before moving to acute adult outpatient care. Over the next 12 years she worked as a clinician, bilingual outreach program coordinator, and program director of an outpatient mental health clinic.  Heather currently lectures and presents on mental health awareness topics throughout California. 

Christopher Walters

CHRISTOPHER WALTERS

Member

Christopher runs his own law firm, Walters Law Group, specializing in business litigation and employment law. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley and the University of Southern California law school. A resident of San Diego since 2000, Christopher lives in the East County with his wife and three daughters. He has been on TMI’s Board of Directors since 2014. TMI’s mission is close to his heart and he is pleased to sit on a Board that has a real impact on our community.
