Volunteer

There are many opportunities to volunteer at TMI whether someone is interested in an internship, meeting a community service learning requirement for a local school, or simply contributing to our mission by offering time and service at our agency.

Internships and Community Service Learning

We currently have master's level interns from the School of Social Work at San Diego State University, and are open to students from other schools and other programs. Internships are oriented toward the needs and requirements of the students, so if an internship at TMI can fulfill these, we are open to considering taking on the student. Volunteering

Those not in school or currently pursuing an educational goal are still quite welcome to volunteer at TMI. Many opportunities exist to help our agency and/or serve our consumers as a volunteer. We currently have openings for the following volunteer positions:

- Front Desk and Office Assistant

- Photographer

- Computer tech assistant (knowledge of Apple Macintosh computers is essential)

- Become a member of our Board of Directors--We are seeking individuals with leadership ability in business, industry, government or the nonprofit sector who have a heart for the work we do assisting people with developmental disabilities to maximize their independence, career possibilities and community participation. Those with expertise in law, accounting/finance, marketing and public relations are strongly encouraged to apply.
